Understanding and engaging generation Y

If you have ever wondered why today's youth seem so weird, disrespectful, disloyal and impatient, this session is for you!

By outlining the influences and characteristics of each generation through the 20th century, Michael McQueen highlights how each group's mind sets, attitudes and expectations differ based on the year they were born.

Michael explores Generation Y’s paradigm when it comes to truth, patience, respect, communication, learning and the future. Get set for revealing and humourous look at how this younger generation approach and view the world in a very different way to their teachers.

This presentation concludes with some time-proven, practical and effective strategies for developing a school culture and classroom practices for engaging today’s students.
